Jim Otrembiak is a self-taught Chicago born artist. His Cincinnati roots started with an Art-Co-op called Merchant Gallery on Fourth Street. He was a member of the Cincinnati Art Club for many years and has been at Pendleton Art Center since 2002.

My style reflects a modern impression of landscapes, still life and abstract forms. Many ideas come from my travels to Canada, Maine and the National Parks in the West through which I have hiked and camped. Other favorite spots are Kentucky, Chicago, Lake Geneva, and Arizona.

My favorite subjects include water scenes, leaves, gardens and fountains, some of which are as close as my back yard. I work from photos, with a process of oils, liquid media and wax on canvas.
